The music plays on
A classical symphony from long ago
Brings back memories of the times we had
Water runs down the mountains
Into a babbling brook
The sun is reflected on water
Sunlight and shadows play a game
Shimmer and dance
Composing their own musical tune
Of memories long gone
Happy voices echo all around
Shouts and screams of happy children
The sun burns bright in the sky
Its warmth radiates all around
A grand piano stands on the rocks
Ready to be played
A medley of merriment and wonder
The mystery is breathtaking
An artist captures these magic moments
On canvas in her studio in New York
As old and new collide
What magical mysteries this world does provide
